Zylo-and-Spiro

Design

When it comes to Sony Ericsson Zylo’s screen, the 2.6 inch TFT screen is more than capable of displaying vibrant and clear images and photos. This is not surprising since the screen has a setup of 240 x 320 pixels and can display a total of 256 K colors.

From the display feature down to the materials used in making the screen, Sony Ericsson has truly taken the time to assure users that this mobile phone’s screen fairs well with other top notch phones. The screen’s ability is not only limited to displaying clear images since it is also equipped with the accelerometer sensor which automatically rotates the pictures so that users have the option of viewing their photos in either portrait or landscape form.
Also, the screen is made of scratch-resistant materials that make it durable so users need not worry about possibilities of abrasion.

Users would also appreciate the appearance of this mobile phone since the handset is relatively compact and lightweight with measurements of 103 x 52 x 11.5 mm and mass of 115 grams. This phone’s structure makes it pocket friendly and easy to grip which is a plus since bulky and heavy devices are irksome for some users.

Connectivity

Most mobile phone users before purchasing their devices take into consideration the connectivity feature which is why manufacturers make sure that their phones, especially the mid range and high end ones, provide users with only the maximum level for connectivity. The Sony Ericsson Zylo sports Class 10 versions for EDGE and GPRS which are two of the fastest connections available for cellular networks.

Connection to the internet is made faster with the phone’s 3G HSDPA with maximum speed of 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA of 2 Mbps. This is ideal for this handset since it also has application for social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. Now users can connect with their friends and update their status at a faster and easier way.

When it comes to local connections, users have the option of either using the Bluetooth technology which is intended for wireless connection to other gadgets or the USB which is a wired link made for computers and laptops. Both, however, are integrated to allow users to share and transfer their files.

Music

Like all other Walkman phones, Sony Ericsson Zylo is fully equipped with tools for music and audio purposes. For instance, there is a built in FM radio player in the phone so that users can browse through different radio stations and listen to a variety of music and songs. Although this is common to other mobile phones, the media player of this device takes the Walkman series to another level. Not only is it versatile since it can play music in formats of MP3, eAAC+ or WAV, but it’s also able to support the FLAC format which creates better audio qualities than MP3.
