Nokia N900 has finally gone on sale in the US, from today you will be able to get your hands on the new Nokia N900 for $649 from Nokia stores in New York and Chicago as well as from the Nokia website.

The Nokia N900 is powered by Nokia’s Maemo 5 OS, and it has a 3.5 inch WVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480, a sliding Qwerty keyboard, and it is powered by an ARM Cortex A8 processor.

“Consumers from every segment of the population are looking for more out of their mobile device – more power, more ability, more connectivity. The Nokia N900 ushers in a new era with a very powerful mobile computer,” said Alessandro Lamanna, Vice President, Retail Sales, Nokia.

“With an open source operating system, incorporated technology like an OMAP processor, and real time web widgets, the Nokia N900 delivers the experience of a pocketable computer that has the information you’re looking for right there waiting for you thanks to the ability to be connected just about anywhere.”

Other features include 32GB of built in storage and features a 5 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and a dual LED flash.

On top of that there is support for microSDHC cards up to 16GB and it features a built in FM transmitter, HSPA, WiFi and Bluetooth A2DP connectivity as well as GPS.

Tomorrow’s Nokia Launch Today: Nokia N81 Gaming Phone..

Tomrrow (Aug. 29th) Nokia is planning the big event in London to launch the new generation N-Gage platform with a number of new phones as well. Rumored Nokia N81 is probably the most awaited among them.with 8 GB storage, 96 MB RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11, 2 MP, 1600x1200 pixels, LED flash, CIF cam for Video call.

Well, it is Wednesday already in China and I guess their portal IT.com.cn decided it is high time to publish the official photo’s for these phones. Or maybe it was the moon eclipse that prompted them to do it .

Now Nokia has an even better idea – portable gaming console with mobile phone and camera functionality: Right Clip -

This Nokia gaming phone is a slim, easy to carry around device, that can be used as an ordinary mobile phone, camera or media player. However it also comes with a retractable/sliding handles at the sides. When in a gaming mode, the handles make the device holding area much wider, making it as easy to operate as any dedicated portable gaming console.

Nokia N86 8MP NAM tipped for August 22nd US launch..

According to The Nokia Blog’s sources, the Nokia N86 8MP NAM will land in US stores come August 22nd. Announced back at Mobile World Congress in February, the N86 8MP has, unsurprisingly, an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 3G HSDPA/HSUPA, a 2.6-inch OLED display running at 240 x 320 QVGA resolution, and 8GB of onboard memory augmented with microSD cards.

As for the price, the expected sticker is $499; oddly enough that’s less than the pre-order price over at Nokia’s official webstore, where the N86 goes for $558. Flagship stores may end up getting their stock in a few days earlier than the 22nd, so it’ll be worth ringing around if you’re nearby one.While the N86 8MP may fall short in sheer megapixel number compared to other camera-equipped cellphones on – or nearly on – the market, according to Nokia it’s the strength and selection of their optics that will make all the difference.
