Another interesting thing is that anyone (not just those who already own a Droid, like Apple did with their new iPhone 4) with a contract ending sometime in 2010, will be eligible for a special upgrade discount to get the X.

Regarding specs and features, the new Motorola Droid X for Verizon comes with a lovely 4.3-inch 854×480 touchscreen display, runs Android 2.1with an all-new UI, and packs a 1GHz TI OMAP3640 processor under the hood. Adding to the goodies list is an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash capable of 720p HD video recording, HDMI out, 8 GB of built-in storage (expandable up to 32GB) and the fact that Android 2.2 Froyo with Adobe Flash 10.1 support will be coming later this summer as an upgrade.
