The LG-GD900 is scheduled for release during the second quarter of 2009 and the phone’s advanced features will be unveiled at that time. release date, launching on 9 aug 2009.

LG's booth at MWC 09 had some really funky technology to showcase. Other than the Arena KM900 being very evident in all its glory, LG also had something that we weren’t expecting – the world’s first transparent design phone, the LG-GD900.

Having to introduce a selection of highly stylish phones, like the Prada and the Prada II as well as the lower end models like the KF600 and KF510, LG has taken a bold step in the design category by introducing yet another innovative and aesthetic concept in this transparent handset. This crystal, glass-like phone proves that stylish design can be achieved not only with the use of vivid colors, but also by revealing the handset in its purest form. The LG-GD900 is expected to make a new fashion statement and I’m quite sure it will.

When opened, its sliding, translucent keypad illuminates a cool glow that reflects the phone’s sleek and polished silver body. It also tries to live up to the highest level of technical features expected in a premium caliber handset, including its dedicated Bluetooth headset. The specs have not however, been released just yet.
