I have to give it to Sony for being the only android tablet that is just the right size to hold in one hand, similar to holding a book. It has a thick edge that makes holding onto easier and is weighted for balance. No other android tablet has this feature making the Sony Tablet Sa winner with consumers. Another great feature is when you sit it down, it will set the screen at an angle for better viewing.Another big plus is that the Sony Tablet S is Playstation Certified, meaning you can now play PlayStation games directly from the tablet. With the great screen, video and sound quality playing games is awesome.

The coolest feature is that you can use the Sony Tablet S as a universal remote control. The built in IR RM sensor lets you control all of your entertainment systems straight from your android tablet. Unlike the other android tablets, this tablet also has DLNA where you can stream music, photos and video from your tablet onto the television by connection of a DLNA cable.

The Sony eReader is the best digital reader of all the android tablets out there. The Sony ebook store is in line with that of Kindle and Amazon. The formatting and font is suburb to that of other digital readers making this a big draw.

The Sony Tablet S also has front and back facing cameras which is a though ahead of the other tablets. The camera quality is great with a clear resolution and great for use with skype.

I found the screen resolution of 1280×800 pixels better than the other android tablets. When viewing a full width page, it is best to set the document at 90% zooming with 800 pixels.

Performance is fast with a top of the line duel-core processor, 1GB of RAM and a 1GHz CPU. Sony also offers two version of this android tablet in a 16G or 32G option. Every program runs smoothly and quickly with great streaming. Another feature this has that the other android tablets don’t is a micro USB socket so you can transfer files interchangeably with a PC/laptop.

Overall, I think this android tablet is better than its competitors. I did find the Sony Tablet S expensive but the price is not really over the top for what it offers to the consumer. It is an overall Great Product!

The smartphone runs on a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor that can run games at a 60 frames per second framerate.

There is 400 MB of integrated memory in the device, which is expandable with microSD up to 32GB (8GB card will be included in the package).

Xperia Play features a 4.0 inch capacitive LCD touchscreen with a 480×854 pixel resolution and 16.7 million colors. It also has a 5.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, image stabilizer, geotagging and video recording capability.

Soon after launch the Xperia Play will have close to 50 titles available, giving gamers a wide choice of games to choose from. In use the Xperia Play is surprisingly good, with capable graphic presentation and no noticeable lag in game play. The handset has auto rotate facility, which automatically rotates the display to landscape orientation when the control pad is slid out from the phone. There is a proximity sensor for auto turn off when in call, and the display supports multi touch input. Allowing game developers to incorporate an element of touchscreen input for titles released onto the Xperia Play.

Aside from the main focus on the gaming capabilities of the handset, the Xperia Play in its own right is a more than capable all round smartphone. The handset is equipped with a decent quality 5.0 Megapixel camera, with autofocus and LED flash. Touch focus support is included, as is image stablisation, to eliminate those annoying blurred shots. Geotagging is also included, allowing you to capture the location details of pictures caught on the handsets camera, which can be shared with friends when the photos are uploaded online. Video recording is also enabled on the handset, and there is a second camera on the front of the device, for video calling purposes.

Connectivity is a big part of the Xperia Play, and all the main technologies are included, with support for HSPA Mobile Broadband, along with GPRS, EDGE and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n with DLNA support, making it a breeze to integrate the device and share media with other compatible equipment across your home WLAN. Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP is included for local connectivity, and there is a v2.0 Micro USB connector.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play will ship with the latest version of Android OS, Android 2.3, and is powered by a 1 GHz processor along with an Adreno 205 GPU. There is plenty of memory available on board, with 400 MB on the device, which can be expanded up to 32 GB with Micro SD memory cards. An 8 GB card is supplied by Sony Ericsson in the box.

Xperia Play battery life

Sony Ericsson says that it is possible to play with the device for 5 and a half hours without having to recharge it.
Talking with the phone drains the battery a bit less. Manufacturer promises that the phone battery enables 8 hours and 25 minutes of talk time and 425 hours of stand-by.

Xperia Play Price
The exact price of Xperia Play is not yet known, but it has been suggested that it could be around $750 USD or 550 Euros without a contract.

Xperia Play Games list

The full list of games on Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is not yet known, but some titles have already slipped through:

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 or Xperia X10 Mini Pro, which are based on Benchmark tests, is running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread rather than Android 2.2 Froyo. While the original Xperia X10 mini will release in February 2011 at Mobile World Congress, which makes sense that Sony Ericsson would be preparing the second version for the same Trade to the Future.

This Sony Ericsson unnamed Device, which is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread will apparently come with a 3-inch multi-touch Display with 320 x 480 Pixels resolution, and also built with 1GHz Processor and an Adreno 205 GPU.

While compared to the exsisting Xperia X10 range, the Hardware buttons n the front face are in reserve order and is also consistent ith most models leaked to date including the ANZU and this Handset gets some pretty good Neocore (24.5fps) and Quadrant (1,533) Benchmarks too.

Importantly, this new 1GHz Processor will offer better performance than the Nexus One with Android 2.2 Froyo, according to the Reports.

Sony Ericsson may think they can keep us sated with cheap sliders and candybars, but we all know that unless they whip out the Idou sometime soon it’s game over. Happily that just might be happening in October this year, with a German PR rep for the company supposedly going on record to confirm their planned 2009 Idou launch schedule.

According to the rep, Sony Ericsson are aiming for October with November considered the “fall-back date” should plans go awry. Sony Ericsson Sweden would only reiterate that the company plans to ship the Idou “sometime in the second half of the year”.

Previewed at Mobile World Congress in February, the Sony Ericsson Idou is a full-touchscreen smartphone running Symbian Foundation, with GPS, a 3.5-inch display and massive 12-megapixel camera.

Design

When it comes to Sony Ericsson Zylo’s screen, the 2.6 inch TFT screen is more than capable of displaying vibrant and clear images and photos. This is not surprising since the screen has a setup of 240 x 320 pixels and can display a total of 256 K colors.

From the display feature down to the materials used in making the screen, Sony Ericsson has truly taken the time to assure users that this mobile phone’s screen fairs well with other top notch phones. The screen’s ability is not only limited to displaying clear images since it is also equipped with the accelerometer sensor which automatically rotates the pictures so that users have the option of viewing their photos in either portrait or landscape form.
Also, the screen is made of scratch-resistant materials that make it durable so users need not worry about possibilities of abrasion.

Users would also appreciate the appearance of this mobile phone since the handset is relatively compact and lightweight with measurements of 103 x 52 x 11.5 mm and mass of 115 grams. This phone’s structure makes it pocket friendly and easy to grip which is a plus since bulky and heavy devices are irksome for some users.

Connectivity

Most mobile phone users before purchasing their devices take into consideration the connectivity feature which is why manufacturers make sure that their phones, especially the mid range and high end ones, provide users with only the maximum level for connectivity. The Sony Ericsson Zylo sports Class 10 versions for EDGE and GPRS which are two of the fastest connections available for cellular networks.

Connection to the internet is made faster with the phone’s 3G HSDPA with maximum speed of 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA of 2 Mbps. This is ideal for this handset since it also has application for social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. Now users can connect with their friends and update their status at a faster and easier way.

When it comes to local connections, users have the option of either using the Bluetooth technology which is intended for wireless connection to other gadgets or the USB which is a wired link made for computers and laptops. Both, however, are integrated to allow users to share and transfer their files.

Music

Like all other Walkman phones, Sony Ericsson Zylo is fully equipped with tools for music and audio purposes. For instance, there is a built in FM radio player in the phone so that users can browse through different radio stations and listen to a variety of music and songs. Although this is common to other mobile phones, the media player of this device takes the Walkman series to another level. Not only is it versatile since it can play music in formats of MP3, eAAC+ or WAV, but it’s also able to support the FLAC format which creates better audio qualities than MP3.

We'd heard a few whispers of Sony Ericsson's Xperia X10 mini, but frankly, the X10 mini pro here comes as a bit of a surprise. The sets are nearly identical with the exception of launch colors -- the mini will ship in black, pearl white, lime, pink, red and silver, while the mini pro features just black and red -- a minuscule size difference, and the pro packing a QWERTY keyboard. The X10 twins run Android 1.6 (though with the time to market gap we've come to expect from SE this could change) on a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 and will ship in both North American and global 3G variants with quad-band EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a pack-in 2GB microSD card. As far as OS tweaks are concerned, Sony Ericsson's Timescape is being touted as a major feature that enables all your communications with contacts to be accessed in one place making it simple to access to call history, Facebook, Twitter, messaging, and the like.

Four-corner control also gets a mention and is basically user-customizable shortcut icons placed -- not surprisingly -- in each corner of the device's 2.5-inch QVGA touchscreen display. Both phones' launch dates are set for sometime in Q2 this year.
