LG has announced the LG Cookie (which is called Wink in rest of world) range of mobiles that are aimed at younger users.

LG hopes that the new range will give younger users a reason to upgrade their budget mobiles and join the touch-screen revolution.

The first mobile in the range is the LG Cookie, which has a 2.4 inch touch-screen that displays a virtual QWERTY keypad in either portrait or landscape mode. It also has a 3.5 mm headphone socket for plugging in your favourite headphones, an FM radio and microSD support for storing music, photos and videos.

The second new mobile is the LG Cookie Style, which is identical to the Wink apart from feature a slightly larger 2.8 inch touch-screen and also features accents on the front button panel. It comes in variety of colour options giving the youngsters a chance to express themselves.

The 3rd new mobile is the LG Cookie 3G which adds 3G support to the LG Wink so you can keep up to date with your social networks and send and receive emails using advanced email technology.

All 3 mobiles will be launching in Europe in August and will probably come in well under £100.

Must say that the LG BL20 Chocolate hasn’t been as much of a tormentor as its smarter cousin BL40 for it annoyed us to the limit with its teaser images and supposed specs for over a month. In comparison the BL20 came and conquered with in no time and what is great is that a carrier has also been announced in a jiffy. It will be O2 UK that will officially sell the BL20 for a price tag of €269.

O2 UK may have lost the exclusive selling rights of the iphone but such stunning grabs could recompense for the loss and therefore O2 wants to sell it as early as the fourth quarter of this year.

The impressive spec sheet could make it a quick seller in the holiday season as people do look for smart sliders with assets like a 5MP camera with auto-focus and flash.

LG has quietly but smartly slid in the the GD 510 ‘Pop’, a phone that aims to thrive on the traits that made the Cookie a super success. Recently, in the LG official handbook that announced a BL20 cell phones.The LG Chocolate BL20 is a slider phone, the part with the navigation buttons is way too big. the LG Chocolate BL20 has capacitive touch controls below the screen, but the screen itself is not a touchscreen. And the screen too small. i currently own the Chocolate 2. Great phone, i love the thing. I was looking forward to getting the Chocolate Touch, but if it ends up being that picture leaked the other day, i think im just going to wait for a good android phone on AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobie…I actually love the design of the new LG Chocolate slider phone.

LG introduces beta version of online application store, which will be first introduced in Asia with the service being expanded to 24 countries. LG expects to offer up to 2,000 applications on its site by the end of year with at least 100 programs available free of charge to LG handset users.

After Toshiba announced their WinMo-powered multimedia monster, it's now LG prime time. A photo of the high-end touchscreen phone LG KM900 Arena leaked online. The handset features a high quality touch display with a new innovative 3D user interface boldly named "S-Class".

LG KM900 Arena (kindly named after our website, thanks LG!) appeared on a phone retailer brochure in the Netherlands. As you can see its metallic design is quite similar to the Samsung i900 Omnia. However, the new device is more compact than the Omnia and runs on a new UI, called S-Class, which bears some resemblance to the Apple iPhone's.
